About
"Water becomes our guide and facilitator — leading us inward, toward softness, presence, and a renewed sense of belonging."
Monica has spent her life learning from water. Her teacher, her medicine, and her way home.
Over two decades, she trained as an Ocean Rescue Lifeguard, worked in marine conservation, and became a certified Aguahara therapist — supporting nervous system regulation, emotional release, and authentic reconnection to self and water. She brings this depth to every group she holds, and offers specialized swim classes for those healing from water trauma, gently rebuilding trust, safety, and confidence in the water.
Now based in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic, Monica offers immersive water experiences for individuals, families, groups, and retreats — weaving swim instruction, flotation therapy, and water consciousness into transformative shared journeys.

Stories
During the water group session I felt incredibly connected — it was liberating and relaxing, and reminded me that letting go is critical to future satisfaction.
I had an incredible experience doing Aguahara. I felt completely safe and calm — so much so that I then did a swim lesson with Monica in the sea. I learnt so much and felt safe the whole time.
Una de las mejores experiencias que he vivido jamás. Me conecta con mi lado femenino y con mi niña interior — entregarte al gran manto protector que es el agua.
In 2022, I spent twenty-three days at sea, double-handed, aboard a shark protection research vessel, crossing open Pacific water with nothing but the boat, the ocean, and whatever I'd been avoiding on land.
This book is what came out of that crossing. Not a clean story about finding myself — the real one. Fear. Boredom. The strange intimacy of water that doesn't care if you live or die. What I learned anyway.
